Without any major upsets, the bowl projections have not changed too much since last week. With Virginia Tech’s win, there are now four six-win teams who will not make a bowl. Joining Louisiana-Monroe, Wyoming, Miami (OH) on that unfortunate projected list is Southern Miss. All six win teams in mid-major conferences need to worry. There will not be any 5-7 teams reaching a bowl this season. And having too many bowl eligible teams also makes for nervous waiting for some 6-6 teams in the lower level conferences. At the moment we are projecting Wyoming, Miami (OH) and Louisiana-Monroe to miss out. But of course the individual bowls may have drastically different ideas.
