There were not many games this week, but there were a few big ones. Most notable was in the Big East where conference play began on Friday. Xavier picked up a decent win at DePaul, but the most important game was in South Orange, New Jersey. St. John’s was so close to getting a huge road win and they were in the lead most of the game. However, Seton Hall hung around and got a game winning three-pointer from Shavar Reynolds to get the victory. The Pirates now have wins over Miami, Kentucky, Maryland and St. John’s and that will get them firmly into the NCAA Tournament.
