Last Eight In: VCU, Temple, Clemson, Purdue, Syracuse, Oregon, Butler, Washington
First Eight Out: Maryland, Alabama, Texas, Creighton, Seton Hall, Rhode Island, UCF, Vanderbilt
At the moment, the ACC and the Big Ten are dominating the bracket. The ACC boasts eight teams in the projected field, while the Big Ten has nine. And the Big Ten could very easily have ten teams. At the moment Maryland is the unfortunate Big Ten team that has been left out. The Big Ten will struggle to get ten teams into the tournament unless everything goes perfect in conference play. One or two teams will likely get left out and squads like Maryland, Purdue, Nebraska and Iowa do not have too much wiggle room once the heart of conference play rolls around.
