There has not been a lot of movement on the BCS bowls so far this season, but that changed in week seven. With some upsets and a few close calls, the races for the top bowls in college football are getting very interesting. In the Big 12, Oklahoma is no longer the clear cut favorite to reach the Fiesta Bowl. For now, Baylor is our choice. With home games against Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Texas, the Bears schedule could not get much better. The loss by Georgia knocked them out of the BCS, with LSU taking their place in the Sugar Bowl. In the Pac-12, Stanford fell to Utah in a shocker. A two loss Stanford, assuming they lose at Oregon on November 7th, will still likely be in the mix for an at-large BCS bowl bid. Somebody like the Orange Bowl may want Stanford to take on the potent offense of the ACC champion. Speaking of the ACC, the only top team in action on Saturday was Clemson and they did not look good at all against Boston College. They are still our projected ACC champion, with Florida State getting a bid to the Sugar Bowl, but that could easily change next week after the Tigers host the Seminoles. Since the two cannot meet again in the ACC championship game, both will still look strong for a BCS bowl as long as the loser can remain at one loss.
