Arkansas Thinking BCS in The Madness Bowl Projections
If it was not for the schedule makers, College Sports Madness would consider Arkansas for a spot in the BCS. The Razorbacks are coming off huge back to back wins against Texas A&M and Auburn. Their lone loss of the season came at Alabama. The Razorbacks also have to travel to fellow SEC West powerhouse LSU on the final weekend of the season. That will likely leave Coach Bobby Petrino and company on the outside of the SEC Championship game picture barring a huge upset in Baton Rouge and a little help along the way. However, this is a very talented team that does have the ability to beat LSU. If Alabama knocks off the Tigers as well, Arkansas and Alabama could be the only two teams from the conference eligible for the BCS when all is said and done. If that is the case, this is a team that will head to a place like the Sugar Bowl.
Arkansas’ schedule is pretty manageable besides the season finale. After an upcoming week off, the Razorbacks travel to Mississippi and Vanderbilt before hosting South Carolina, Tennessee and Mississippi State. None of those games are easy by any means, but Arkansas should be able to take care of business as long as Tyler Wilson continues to be an efficient and effective quarterback.
