Week 2 FCS Football Bracketology Breakdown

Bracketology Breakdown

Last Four In: Chattanooga, Maine, Furman, Southeast Missouri State

First Four Out: Elon, Indiana State, Lamar, Delaware

A couple teams jump onto the bracket tree this week; Jacksonville State and Northern Iowa. Jacksonville State redeemed themselves after a horrendous opening game against Southeastern Louisiana, by winning their home opener over Chattanooga. Northern Iowa, after a triple overtime losses to FBS Iowa State last week, dominated Southern Utah. UNI was probably a little undervalued after their inspired performance against Iowa State and they made sure there were no doubts this week. Those losing spots were Elon and Indiana State. Elon actually beat The Citadel, but was a victim of ranking shuffling. They should still be considered a very likely playoff participant once the dust starts settling. Indiana State lost to non-scholarship Dayton. Suddenly, the Sycamores are 0-2, facing a tough EKU team next and the Valley season hasn’t started yet.
