Week 2 Football Bowl Projection Breakdown

Notre Dame College Football
CSM Staff
Sun, 09/07/2014

The Big Ten had an awful week and it seems very unlikely that a one loss team from the conference will make the playoffs. Losses by Michigan State, Michigan and Ohio State were the marquee games, but Purdue also fell to Central Michigan and Northwestern lost to Northern Illinois. But it is worth looking deeper than just the wins and losses. Nebraska had a lot of trouble with McNeese State, Iowa barely beat Ball State, Illinois just slipped past Western Kentucky and Maryland struggled against South Florida. Overall, the Big Ten looked bad on ...

Betting Turf - Week 2 Football

Gambling sharps (the best gamblers around) are right roughly 57% of the time. That figure sounds low to most. But, in fact, it is a high enough figure to make a living off of. The key to being a sharp is not only picking more winners than losers, but also finding the best lines and odds for your bets. An extra half point here, an extra point there makes a huge difference over the course of a season. ...

Week 2 FCS Football Games of the Week

Week 1 Football Bowl Projection Breakdown

There were not too many surprises that were so damaging to a team that we had to knock them out of a projected bowl. However, South Carolina moved out of the Capital One Bowl and Georgia, who looked very impressive against Clemson, moved into their spot. The only change among the New Year’s Six Bowls was the automatic qualifier from the “Little Five.” UCF was in the Peach Bowl, but their loss to Penn State will hurt their resume. Cincinnati, who does not play UCF in AAC play this year, takes their spot for now.

North Dakota State can’t win again, can it? Just when you thought it might be time to crown another FCS king this year, the Bison showed on Saturday that they’ll have to be reckoned with again this season with a 34-14 victory over FBS Iowa State. ...

FCS vs. FBS in the Early Weeks of the 2014 Season

Several interesting FCS vs. FBS matchups kick off this weekend where the Davids will attempt to slay the Goliaths. Some FCS schools, obviously, have a more realistic shot of doing just that than others do.

Remember Appalachian State?

It’s difficult to believe that Appalachian State’s ...
