After a thrilling Saturday of games and an agonizing wait for a few teams, the FCS Playoffs are here. But it is already time to start thinking about the games that will happen, not those unfortunate teams left out. College Sports Madness has it all covered. The Playoff Central is your home for all your playoff needs. Get ...

Week 14 Football Bowl Projection Breakdown

CSM Staff
Sun, 12/04/2016

Not much changed in the bowl picture during championship week. The playoff picture is exactly the same as it was and Penn State, who we had predicted to beat Wisconsin, will likely head to the Rose Bowl. Even Sun Belt teams South Alabama and Louisiana won to earn a spot in the bowl. North Texas and Mississippi State are the only two 5-7 teams in the bowl picture and will get the first opportunity to jump into a bowl game with those two open spots. ...

Week 13 Football Bowl Projection Breakdown

CSM Staff
Sun, 11/27/2016

No matter what happens next week, Alabama and Ohio State should be headed to the playoffs. The Buckeyes are not in the Big Ten title game, but an 11-1 Ohio State team that played a brutal schedule better make the playoffs. If they don’t, we should just say a team has to win the conference title to reach the playoffs, but that is not the point of the selection committee. So that leaves two spots, which will presumably go to Clemson and Washington if both can win their ...

Week 12 Football Bowl Projection Breakdown

CSM Staff
Sun, 11/20/2016

The bowl picture is beginning to clear up as many teams have reached the magical six win total. It also looks very likely that a few 5-7 teams will again reach the bowls due to a lack of bowl eligible teams. That could benefit a team like Vanderbilt, who has the highest APR score of all the teams likely to finish with five wins. They are sitting at 5-6 right now and host Tennessee this week. Obviously with a win, the Commodores are headed to a bowl, but their chances are high ...

FCS Football Breaking Down the Bracket Week 11

Well, half of the automatic bids have been passed out.  So, five down, five to go.  Of the other five waiting to crown a champion, four of those teams holding onto the current spot that would occupy the automatic bid, have done enough to earn a spot with at least an at-large.  A few notes here…

Week 11 Football Bowl Projection Breakdown

CSM Staff
Sun, 11/13/2016

The playoff picture was muddled on Saturday as Clemson, Michigan and Washington all lost. However, all three of those teams are still in the mix for a playoff spot. The Big Ten and ACC were potentially the big winners of the day. If Penn State wins out, which they should with Rutgers and Michigan State remaining on the schedule, they will win the Big Ten East. They will likely face another two-loss team in ...
