Conference USA has eight of their 14 teams bowl eligibility. Either Middle Tennessee or Old Dominion will become number nine when those two face off on Saturday. Louisiana Tech could make it ten if they can beat Texas-San Antonio at home this weekend. That is impressive. The SEC will end up with nine, so Conference USA could surpass them in that regard. Miami made a huge statement with their blowout victory over Notre Dame. The Hurricanes are now 9-0 and have back-to-back wins over ranked teams. Oklahoma picked up a thrilling 62-52 victory over rival Oklahoma State on Saturday. That puts the Sooners right back in the mix for a playoff spot. However, that could be short lived with TCU coming to town this week. The Horned Frogs are also sitting at 5-1 in Big 12 play and 8-1 overall.
