Final Football Bowl Projection Breakdown

The fourth spot in the playoffs turned out to be very interesting. Utah would have likely been in had they won on Friday night. Georgia would have gotten in had they beat LSU in the SEC title game, but that did not happen. Oklahoma and Baylor went to overtime in what was likely a play-in game into the playoffs. The Sooners came out on top and should have played their way into the last spot, joining Ohio State, LSU and Clemson in the playoffs.

Week 14 Football Bowl Projection Breakdown

By our count there are 79 bowl eligible teams. With 39 bowl games, one team will be left out. The easy answer here would be to leave out a 7-5 Liberty team with two wins over FCS programs and no conference affiliation. However, the Flames did get a secondary bowl agreement with the Cure Bowl to fill that spot should the AAC or Sun Belt not be able to fill all their bowl spots.
