Week five was fascinating to watch as many top teams had tough results. UCLA escaped with a draw against Arizona State. Florida State held off Virginia 1-0 in a top five showdown. Utah finally broke through the Stanford defense and got a goal to get a huge draw against the Cardinal. Washington overcame a loss at Oregon to knock Portland out of the field for now in a 3-2 win at Merlo Field. Texas is on the NCAA Tournament doorstep after handing Texas Tech their first loss of the season. Uconn has played their way into the field and Wake Forest has played their way out of the tournament. Finally, Notre Dame found a way to slow down Virginia Tech in Blacksburg to get a huge ACC road win.
