It’s time to take a look at how good the Missouri Valley has been this season. The league has the potential to get four teams into this year’s NCAA Tournament after some teams have put together some impressive resumes. The MVC has traditionally been ruled by Wichita State, but they have slid down to fifth this season and some other teams have emerged. Three teams have RPI’s in the Top 35: Indiana State, 19, Dallas Baptist, 30, and Illinois State, 33. The weird thing about that is that none of those teams lead the conference, because that award goes to Evansville. As it is right now, Evansville would get the automatic bid and the other three would be strong candidates for automatic bids. Four bids is a high number for a conference like the MVC, but it looks to be a strong possibility this season.
