4/7 Baseball Bracketology Breakdown

UAB College Baseball

Last Eight In: Florida International, New Mexico, Wake Forest, Arizona State, Western Carolina, North Carolina State, East Carolina, UAB

First Eight Out: Fresno State, Michigan State, Nebraska, UC Irvine, Kansas, Kansas State, West Virginia, Auburn

Three teams with some impressive resumes enter the field for the first time this season.  Dallas Baptist enters as the Missouri Valley automatic bid as they are 23-8 and have a 1.5 game lead in the conference, and Wake Forest and UAB enter as at-large bids from the ACC and Conference USA, respectively.  Wake Forest has lost just one series this season and sit at 10-5 in the ACC and UAB is currently leading Conference USA.  Western Carolina returns to the field after winning their last nine and NC State is barely clinging onto a spot in the field. Checking up on last weeks post, Sean Newcomb saw his streak of no earned runs end as he gave up four in a Hartford victory over Maine.
