2014 NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen Overview

The first weekend of the NCAA Tournament has been filled with thrilling finishes and upsets. There are three double digit seeds still alive, including Stanford and Dayton, who play each other in Memphis with a trip to the Elite eight on the line. With teams like Stephen F. Austin, Mercer and North Dakota State falling in the third round, we will not have another Florida Gulf Coast this year, but there are still plenty of surprises yet to come.

At this point in the tournament, every team that has been good enough to win two games and make it to the Sweet Sixteen can certainly win two more and reach the Final Four. Nobody has an easy road now. Even in the Midwest Region where Kentucky upset Wichita State and Tennessee came out of Raleigh, the road is extremely tough. Louisville and Michigan, last year’s national champ and runner-up, join the Wildcats and Volunteers in that tough foursome headed to Indianapolis.

As the nation’s remaining 16 teams head to four cities across the country, College Sports Madness will have you prepared for Thursday and Friday’s action and beyond.
