Last Eight In: USC, St. Joseph’s, Iowa State, Villanova, Georgia Tech, BYU, Florida, Michigan State
First Eight Out: San Diego, East Carolina, Arkansas, Indiana, Iona, Marquette, Washington, Michigan
Fans of the SEC are focusing on women’s basketball where eight teams appear to be safely into the NCAA Tournament…for the most part. However, there is still plenty to play for when it comes to positioning and seeding. Kentucky picked up a massive win at Tennessee on Sunday afternoon and now they have some much needed momentum heading into their final four games of the regular season. And they will need momentum with South Carolina, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt on the slate. Florida is the one team that has some work to do. After hosting Mizzou, they should move to 8-5 in conference, but their last three games are against South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Texas A&M, with the first two on the road. If the Gators lose the last three, they may need to pick up a win or two in the SEC Tournament to feel safe.
