Overview:
Any team looking for an experienced guard will be very pleased with Andre Dawkins. Dawkins is a lethal long range shooter with underrated athleticism and finishing skills who showed a willingness to take pressure shots in key situations throughout his career. He has never been a consistent starter but has been more than solid coming off the bench. He possesses the ability and mentality to be a potent scoring weapon off the bench.
Up to this point he has steadily improved his ball handling and mid-range game and kept consistent from beyond the arc shooting an impressive 43% in three seasons. Dawkins can knock down shots from almost anywhere on the court which will open up the floor for more driving opportunities for his teammates.
Final Projection:
Luckily for Dawkins there will never be a lack of need for shooters in the NBA. Although the offense will never be run through him or whether or not he even becomes a starter, Dawkins will be a solid sixth man for many years by knocking down spot up three’s and providing a spark off the bench, especially when June comes around.
