If it didn’t already have a strong reputation as one of the top, if not the top conferences in the FCS, the Missouri Valley Football Conference can boast this week. Four of the league’s five teams in the top 25 won their openers, with number one North Dakota State shocking Kansas State while number nine Northern Iowa toppled Iowa State. The only ranked team that didn’t win was Illinois State, which let a 21-9 lead slip away against Ball State.
