Morgan Moses NFL Draft Profile

Morgan Moses NFL Draft Profile

Morgan Moses, Senior, Offensive Tackle, Virginia

Overview:

Moses was a highly sought after high school recruit and Virginia nabbed him.  Nationally recognized as a top five tackle, the Cavaliers were able to keep the Richmond native in-state.  He has been solid for the most part all of his four years.  He has only missed one game over the course of his career and has been steady at the right tackle spot up until this point.  He will likely move to left tackle after the departure of teammate Oday Aboushi.  Moses is 6’6” and 325 lbs. as of today.  His weight has been an issue over the course of the last three seasons.  If he can remain lean and quick, he is in for a good year in the ACC.  After struggling against some defensive linemen last year, he is looking to rebound with a strong 2013 campaign.  He remains Virginia’s best offensive lineman.

Final Projection:

Moses is anywhere from top five to top 15 offensive lineman prospect heading into the 2013 season.  His stock is going to fluctuate throughout the year.  His measurables are going to come into play during the combine next February as well.  He has been known to let some quick defensive ends by him.  His footwork needs to improve and he will have to be able to stand his ground in order play left tackle at the next level.  Moses is certain to be drafted next May – teams need depth at the tackle position.  It will be up to him when his name will be called.
