#9 Florida State at #6 North Carolina State (5/11 noon ET, ESPN 3, 5/12 3 pm ET ESPN 3, 5/13 7 pm ET ESPNU)

This starts an interesting stretch for the Seminoles who face NC State this weekend and Clemson next weekend. Both teams are currently half a game behind FSU in the ACC standings.

Florida State:  Jose Brizuela is the team's leader in average (.338) and hits (54) and one of four Seminoles with a minimum of 36 RBI. DJ Stewart and Marcus Davis are tied with a squad-leading 40 RBI. Davis leads the team in doubles with 16, as well as home runs with seven.  FSU has some studs at the top of its rotation, as Scott Sitz is 8-1 with an ERA of 1.41 in 12 starts. Luke Weaver is 5-1 in 10 starts and an ERA of 1.98, but has struck out 74, while walking just 13.

N.C. State: N.C. State is on a five-game winning streak and won 20 of its last 21 games. Despite missing 11 games due to an injury, Trea Turner leads the squad in multiple categories including average (.408), runs (55), hits (62), triples (three), stolen bases (23) and is tied for the lead in home runs with six. Tarran Senay also has six home runs and leads the team with 48 RBI. Carlos Rodon carries a 6-2 record in 12 starts, but the most impressive stat is that he has struck out 114 batters, while walking only 31.

Florida Gulf Coast at North Florida (5/10 6 pm ET, 5/11 1 pm ET, 5/12 1 pm ET)

Mercer and North Florida are tied for the conference lead and FGCU is only a game back.

Florida Gulf Coast: The Eagles come into the weekend on an eight-game winning streak, pending a doubleheader against Florida Atlantic.  Brandon Bednar leads the team in average (.359), runs (45), hits (71), doubles (14) and RBI (39). He is one of four Eagles who has 33 RBI or more. Brooks Beisner has 39 RBI and Michael Suchy leads the team with seven round-trippers. Ricky Knapp is 8-2 with a 1.68 ERA, both team-highs. He also has 63 strikeouts, which is also a squad-leading number.

North Florida: The Ospreys come in with a 34-14 record and have beaten highly regarded Florida and West Virginia this season.  North Florida has four players with 35 or more RBI, led by Tyler Marincov's 40. He also has a squad-leading 18 stolen bases and 14 doubles, second on the team. Corey Bass has six home runs, which is a team-high and Donnie Dewees has 15 doubles. Michael Renner has appeared in 13 games, starting nine and carries a perfect 9-0 record. His 1.43 ERA is also a team-best for regulars.
