5/6 Softball Bracketology Breakdown

Arizona State College Softball

Last Four In: South Carolina, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, South Florida

First Four Out: DePaul, Northwestern, USC Upstate, Kansas

Oregon clinched the Pac-12 title last weekend by getting the best of rival Oregon State, but there is still a lot to watch for out west during the final week of the regular season. Washington, Stanford, California and UCLA are all on the outside looking in as far as earning one of the 16 top seeds in the NCAA Tournament, joining presumably Oregon and Arizona State. But all four still have the opportunity to play into a coveted seeded spot. The Golden Bears head up to Seattle to take on the Huskies in what could turn into an extremely important three games series this weekend. The winner of that series should feel pretty safe about hosting a regional the next weekend. Of course that does depend on results from around the nation and around the conference. Stanford hosts Arizona while UCLA heads to Oregon State for their finale.
