Last Eight In: Tennessee, Mississippi, Villanova, Oklahoma, Temple, Saint Mary’s, Wichita State, Kentucky
First Eight Out: La Salle, Virginia, Alabama, Southern Miss, Arizona State, Iowa, Baylor, Middle Tennessee State
The big winner on Wednesday might just be Arizona State. The Sun Devils stopped a four game skid that saw them almost fall off of the bubble with an overtime win over Stanford in the First Round of the Pac-12 Tournament. ASU still has a lot of work to do, but now they get a shot at top seeded UCLA. If they can beat the Bruins, the Sun Devils are suddenly right back in the thick of things. Meanwhile, Villanova got a huge win over St. John’s and they should feel pretty safe even with a loss against Louisville. Yet, they should still be a sweating a bit and avoiding the First Four would be ideal as well, so knocking off Louisville would put an end to those concerns.
