Notre Dame and Connecticut gave us yet another thrilling women’s basketball game on Tuesday night. Yet, surprising to many, the Irish pulled off their third win of the year over the Huskies. Now the question is whether or not we will get a fourth showdown between the Big East, for now, rivals. But the bigger question may be if this has any impact on UConn’s seeding in the NCAA Tournament. The answer is probably not. If Duke had a healthy Chelsea Gray, an argument could be made. If California would have won the Pac-12 Tournament, an argument could be made. But even then, Connecticut is one of the top four teams in the country…they just are not as good as Notre Dame.
