Last Eight In: West Virginia, Saint Joseph’s, Charlotte, St. John’s, Iowa, Texas Tech, DePaul, Michigan
First Eight Out: Washington, Wyoming, Kansas, Duquesne, Saint Mary’s, SMU, Florida Gulf Coast, Ohio State
The top four seeds are pretty well set no matter what happens from here on out, but there are a lot of teams looking to move up into the second and third seed spots. North Carolina made a good case for a three seed by making it to the ACC Finals. Maryland, who lost to UNC, is likely looking at three seed now as well instead of a two seed. The powerful SEC has seen a lot of movers lately as well. Kentucky and Texas A&M are on the rise, while Georgia and South Carolina were hoping for better showings in the SEC Tournament. Tennessee will likely move to a third seed as well after seemingly being stuck in that two seed spot forever. Losses to Kentucky and Texas A&M six days apart have raised concerns, but in the end that would just make Tennessee the most dangerous three seed in the 2013 NCAA Tournament.
