The bubble this week was more about backing your way into the NCAA Tournament instead of playing your way into the NCAA Tournament. The lone exception, if one considered Michigan on the bubble in the first place, was the Wolverines. Following a Monday loss at rival Michigan State, Coach Kim Barnes and company pulled it all together to knock off bubble team Illinois on Thursday. On Sunday, Michigan traveled to perennial power Purdue and came away with a huge 67-56 signature victory. This was a team that needed a big win and they finally got it in West Lafayette.
