Adriana Perez NPF Draft Profile
Adriana Perez, Senior, Catcher, Texas Tech

Throws: Right, Bats: Right

Overview:

A third team College Sports Madness preseason All-American, Perez made a successful jump to the Red Raiders from Antelope Valley Junior College (CA) in 2012. The two-time California Junior College Player of the Year averaged 15 home runs and 58 RBI’s at the lower level, and showed no drop off after landing in Lubbock. Perez, listed as a catcher, batted cleanup in a DH role for the Raiders and led the team in home runs (15), RBI (55), average (.351), slugging (.649) and total bases (111).

Final Projection:

Perez will be a quality designated hitter candidate who has power to all fields. She has a proven track record of rising to the next level, a trait that will not go unnoticed by NPF teams in need of her particular skills. With 60 total hits (including 15 home runs and six doubles) but only 18 runs scored, Perez is not counted on as a base runner.
