The bubble may be starting to heat up, but the race for the #1 seeds is just as intriguing. From day one we figured Kansas would be on the outside of the #1 line. The strength of schedule is not going to keep up and that will hurt the Jayhawks in the end. And then they went and lost at home. However, everybody else is losing too. Duke appears to be representing the ACC as a #1 seed. The Big Ten winner, either Indiana or Michigan, will certainly earn a top seed as well. Florida and Arizona are milling around too and, if all goes as planned, one of them will get a #1 seed. The assumption was that Syracuse or Louisville would end up in that mix as well. However, both are not looking too great at the moment and it is quite feasible that no Big East team will deserve a #1 seed. That may be good news for Kansas, assuming they do not lose at home again.
