Overview
Lane has good power for a second baseman and has been productive over a two year span with 29 home runs and 111 RBI. Defensively Lane had 100 more total chances in 2012 over 2011, and her fielding percentage went up (.962). Lane was rewarded for an outstanding sophomore campaign (.45, 18HR, 71 RBI) with NFCA All-America second team honors.
Final Projection:
Lane will improve her draft status if she returns to the production of 2011. Last year her numbers dipped significantly, down seven home runs, 31 RBI’s and her batting average dropped 76 points from the previous year.
