The Bears will need to try to slow down the triple option that Georgia Southern runs so well. The Eagles are first in rushing offense averaging 392 yard per game and Central Arkansas is not a defensive power in stopping the run with the 39th rushing defense, allowing an average of 140 yard per game. Central Arkansas will need to put their points on the board through the air with a passing game that averages 268 yards per game, fourth best for teams remaining in the FCS playoffs. Bears quarterback Wynrick Smothers is completing 68% percent of his passes for nearly 3,000 yards with 31 touchdowns and only nine interceptions. The Eagles will rely on leading rushers Jerick McKinnon, who has tallied 1,165 yards and 15 touchdowns on the year, and Dominique Swope, with 911 yards and 14 touchdowns, to move the ball down the field and into the end zone. Georgia Southern will rely heavily on McKinnon and Swope in order to help the Eagles get past the Southland Conference champs and advance in the playoffs.
