WCWS Attendance Records Being Set

WCWS Attendance Records Being Set

After setting an attendance record last year, it appears another record will be set in the 31st annual Women’s College World Series.

Last year, 67,631 people attended the WCWS and through five sessions this year’s total attendance is 43,407. That’s 2,710 more fans than last year’s 40,697 at the same stage of the tournament. This year’s average session attendance is 8,681. The existing per-session record for an entire WCWS is 7,515 I (set last year).

Individual session attendance records have been set in each of this year’s five sessions. Saturday night’s session attendance of 9,310 was a record, breaking the record of 9,209 set in Session 3. This year’s 43,407 five-session attendance figure is already higher than the total attendance figure of 24 of the previous 30 WCWS’s.
