Overview:

Xavier Rhodes is a highly decorated corner who has gobs of talent. He choose to forgo the NFL draft, which was very deep at corner, for another season at Florida State. In 2010, his red-shirt freshman season, Rhodes broke into the collegiate scene. He earned a spot on the freshman All-American team. He led all freshmen with 16 pass breakups, tied with a team high four interceptions, forced two fumbles and started all 14 of the Seminoles game. In 2011 teams shied away from him and he locked down opposing teams top wide-out on a weekly basis.

Rhodes is the ideal NFL corner. He has tremendous size, is extremely athletic, strong, physical and covers like a blanket. He matches up against opponents top receivers and comes out on top. He has been used in a multitude of coverages, playing both man and zone. He has played press as well as soft coverage. He has shown that he can blitz off the edge and has outstanding ball skills. He will be a first round selection when he declares.
