Sean Porter NFL Draft Profile

Sean Porter NFL Draft Profile

Sean Porter, Junior, LB, Texas A&M

Overview:

Sean Porter is an attacking and athletic linebacker. He earned two starts as a freshman, but appeared in all 13 games. As a sophomore he was dynamic, recording 74 total tackles, good for third best on the squad. He broke up six passes and had seven tackles for a loss.  He was very versatile, lining up on both sides of the field for the Aggies. He is relentless in pursuit and never gives up on a play. His high motor and instincts are his two key attributes that allow him to be the tackling machine that he is.

Final Projection:

Porter is extremely athletic and possesses good size. He is a little undersized to play outside linebacker but does so in college so teams shouldn’t shy away from him too much. He is 6’2 but just 230 pounds. He could project as an inside backer as well. Either way, if Porter continues to be a tackling machine, he will turn NFL heads. With his athleticism and effort he should continue to build upon his impressive collegiate career. He has a chance to be a first round selection next April.
