Jesse Williams NFL Draft Profile

Jesse Williams NFL Draft Profile

Jesse Williams, Senior, Defensive Tackle, Alabama

Overview:

Jesse Williams could turn into a very hot commodity by the 2013 NFL Draft. The 6-4 defensive tackle has only played football since he was 15 and is getting better with every game. Williams spent a couple years at Western Arizona Community College where the Australian learned the ropes of American football. He obviously learned very quickly.

Williams rapidly earned a starting role at Alabama as a defensive end in the Tide’s 3-4 scheme. At 6-4 and 320 pounds, Williams could play at defensive tackle at the next level and his versatility is a big plus.

Final Projection:

Williams still has a lot to prove after just one relatively productive season at Alabama. But he has a ton of potential and will need to keep showing the NFL that he is continuing to improve. Williams did tally 24 tackles and 4.0 tackles-for-loss, but he could put up much better numbers in 2012 and that will get the NFL’s attention.
