Last Eight In: Iowa State, Michigan State, Florida, Middle Tennessee, Temple, North Carolina, Gonzaga, Kansas State
First Eight Out: Michigan, Texas, USC, Wake Forest, Missouri State, James Madison, Memphis, Kansas
Baylor and Stanford finished off their superb seasons by winning their conference tournaments on Saturday. A host of other teams also clinched an appearance in the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, including the likes of Eastern Michigan, UTEP, Fresno State and San Diego State. None of those teams will be easy outs in the first round. The big surprises came in the Missouri Valley Conference where Drake upset Wichita State and Creighton upset Missouri State to reach Sunday’s final. Missouri State is not entirely out of the NCAA Tournament picture, but they are definitely on the outside looking in and there is not much time left.
