Washington College Football Alameda Ta'aumu NFL Draft Profile

Alameda Ta’amu, Senior, Defensive Tackle, Washington

Washington Team Page

Overview:

Senior Alameda Ta’amu was one of the few bright spots of the porous Washington defense. He had 3.5 sacks on the year as well as 15 solo tackles, six of those going for a loss. He uses his combination of size, strength, and quickness to penetrate the offensive line. He started all 13 games for the Huskies and was named one of their captains. His fine senior season earned him honorable mention All Pac-12 honors.

Final Projection:

At this point Ta'amu appears to be a second round draft choice. He has great size and had a good senior season. NFL teams have the possibility of moving him along the defensive line, depending where they want to project him. He has proven to be a good pass rusher from the inside, which combined with his size, gives him an opportunity to be an every down defensive lineman at the next level.
