Duane Underwood, Senior, Pitcher, High School
Overview:
Duane Underwood is a good sized young hurler. He is a true power pitcher, with his fastball sitting in the mid to high 90’s and being clocked as high as 97. As impressive as his fastball is, that is not his only good pitch. He also has good off speed stuff, throwing a tailing changeup and a curve with outstanding spin. He is still learning how to pitch and looks raw on the hill.
Final Projection:
Although raw, Underwood has enormous potential. He looks to be a late first round pick, but as he continues to develop he may fly up draft boards. With three plus pitches, Underwood could turn into a strikeout master in the show.
