Tarleton State was perhaps the biggest winner of week 1. After cruising past Portland State in week 0, the Texans knocked off Army in double overtime on Friday night. Austin Peay also beat an FBS team, handing Middle Tennessee State a 34-14 defeat. Many FCS teams were beaten by much tougher competition and a few beat up on non-Division I opponents, so it will take a couple more weeks to really learn where most teams stand.
