Washington Makes Their Debut in The Madness Top 25

The Washington Huskies still have their toughest tests ahead of them, but few expected Coach Steve Sarkisian’s squad to get off to such a strong start. Quarterback Keith Price has had a superb sophomore season thus far and led his team into the College Sports Madness Top 25. Through six games Price has thrown 21 touchdowns and a mere four interceptions. Jake who? This is what the Huskies offense is supposed to look like…a team with a superb running threat in Chris Polk and a quarterback who can spread the ball around to a handful of talented receivers. Even the defense is bearing down a doing a better job in recent weeks.

The big question now is whether or not Washington can stay in the Top 25. They travel to Stanford next week, which will likely result in a loss and then host Arizona and Oregon. Those are not particularly easy games by any means. And then the Huskies hit the road against USC and Oregon State prior to the Apple Cup. This is a team that can win eight games with that schedule, but Washington will be tested over the next four weeks and we will have a much better idea if this is a squad that deserves to be a Top 25 team.
