Sacramento State and Southern Illinois were the big winners of week 3. The Hornets went to Stanford and came away with a 30-23 victory over their former head coach. The Salukis went to Southeast Missouri State and came away with a thrilling 26-25 win. SIU is now 3-0 with victories over Austin Peay, Northern Illinois and SEMO. Those are three pretty good wins. Both teams are now projected to be top 8 seeds and receive a bye in the first round of the playoffs.
