Next Big College Basketball Prospects

2023 NBA recruits are set, with Victor Wembanyama being the automatic first pick for the San Antonio Spurs in the upcoming NBA draft. Scouts and other experts are ready to find future stars, with 2024 college prospects' search getting interesting.

We shall look at the players projected to rank high in the list, and here are the top upcoming college basketball prospects.

Dylan Harper - Don Bosco Prep

Being a son of a former NBA star can have its burden. This is the case for Dylan Harper, the son of five-time champ Ron Harper, who's emulating his father and is currently among the top prospects. The Don Bosco star is a two-way player excelling on both sides of the floor.

Like his father, Dylan’s offense has helped his team win multiple matches and thus attract scouts from all over the country. Considering his high in-game IQ, Duke will most likely get the 6'5" combo guard who can be an asset for big playoff games.

You can also catch the NBA finals via Betway sport betting and wage other two-way stars like Nikola Jokic and Jimmy Butler to face each other. You'll also understand why combo guards are an asset for top-level teams.

Airious Bailey - Powder Springs, Ga

Airious Bailey is another 5-star recruit who is already committed to Rutgers. He helped Rutgers rise in rankings, moving from the 6th to the 2nd. He is a 6'8" shooting forward deserving of his 99 rating for his exceptional playing style.

He becomes the second high school star to commit to Rutgers Scarlet Knights, after another promising prospect, Lathan Sommerville (center). Additionally, he is the highest-ever ranking high school star set to join the team, putting Scarlet Knights on the map.

Bailey attests that the school is the best for his future, where he aims to balance basketball and school work.

Tre Johnson - Lake Highland

Tre Johnson is a 5-star and a 99-rating recruit, currently not committed to any college. He is a 6'5" shooting guard who's proven to be ready for college basketball through his impressive skills, being a two-way star like Dylan Harper.

Baylor leads the race to recruit the Lake Highland player but faces heavy competition from other notable schools like Kansas, Alabama, Kentucky, and Texas. The traction does make sense, considering Johnson was also ranked as the No. 1 prospect. Alabama, especially, can steal the star from Baylor. Like Johnson, you also have multiple betting options at Betway, with one game offering various wagering selections.

Flory Bidunga - Kokomo, IN.

Flory Bidunga is different from the above players being a defensive expert, with his offense coming from fast break plays and catching lobs. He is a 6'8" high-flying center currently on different schools' radars, with Cincinnati leading the race.

His offense still needs some improvement, but like most high school stars, he still has time to grow. This is a factor various colleges like Kansas and Arizona State are looking to explore, as they lack enough players at the Center position.

Conclusion

Therefore, the 2024 class is full of talent, proving that the future of the NBA is safe. The above stars have the luxury of settling for their preferred colleges, like Dylan Harper and Airious Bailey. Also, the rankings can change depending on the schools interested in the above prospects.
