The Most Talented Young US Soccer Players

The Most Talented Young US Soccer Players

The United States of America will co-host the 2026 World Cup tournament with Mexico and Canada. The US men's soccer team will have significant ambitions at that competition, and we already see some shapes of the unit that will play in four years. Head coach, Gregg Berhalter, has some very talented players at his disposal, and we are going to talk about them now.

Some of them play abroad, some at home, in the MLS, but the common thing is that they all present the future of US soccer. We won't include players like Christian Pulisic and Weston McKennie, who are already established players and have more than 23 years. When mentioning McKennie, the leader of Juventus, the most powerful club in Italian football, here are some Serie A predictions.

Best of the Best

Giovanni Reyna

The top spot on our list is reserved for Giovanni Reyna, arguably the top ten soccer talent in the world. The Borussia Dortmund youngster showed enormous talent and is expected to become one of the best players of his generation.

After making his first steps in New York City FC, he moved to Borussia, who already has excellent experience with the US players, as Christian Pulisic left a massive trace at Signal Iduna Park. In three seasons, he played 77 times for the Millionaires, only 10 in the last year, due to his injury struggles.

The creativity this guy has, along with playmaking skills and excellent ball control, is something that leaves the fans breathless. He needs a bit more experience and maturity, but as time goes by, we are sure that Reyna's quality will only improve.

Sergino Dest

Sergino Dest is another name on our list. The 21-year-old right-back has been a great desire of the Netherlands' national team, but he decided to represent the United States. He made his name in Ajax before transferring to Barcelona as a teenager, where he established himself as one of the most promising right-backs in the world.

Dest's agility and speed are magnificent, and apart from that, the Almere-born is pretty versatile and can play both upfront and in the back. He is a modern full-back with attributes of both a winger and a defensive player.

Timothy Weah

Timothy Weah carries a significant burden up his back, as he has to fight with the legacy of his father, the great George Weah. However, for the moment, the right-winger is doing just fine, and is slowly showing his potential following a slower career start.

He is in OSC Lille in France, where he became an indispensable part of the unit and one of the most promising players of his generation. He won the French Ligue 1 with the Dogues and appeared on the radar of several major European teams.

Gianluca Busio

Gianluca Busio is an American player of Italian origins. At 20 years of age, the Italian side, Venezia, immediately bought him from Sporting Kansas City following his fantastic performances under Peter Vermes' leadership. He displayed incredible potential as a teenager, so it is no wonder why Venezia decided to break the bank and buy this kid.

He already appeared in 29 games for Venezia, becoming a regular mention in the Serie A predictions today, and don't be surprised if this guy finishes in some major European team pretty soon.

Yunis Musah

The list is closed with Yunis Musah, one of the most gifted midfielders in the world. The 19-year-old plays for Valencia and has represented England in youth selections before choosing the USA, for whom he already appeared in 19 games.

Musah has been a regular part of Valencia's squad over the last two years, playing 71 games across all the competitions. He is already a target for several big teams, including Juventus and Inter Milan, so we might see him in a Serie A picks section shortly.

There are several more American soccer players who are very gifted, but for the moment, these youngsters present the best of the best that the US has to offer.
