Michigan State started this week with a win over #5 Illinois on Tuesday. Two days later they hosted #4 Ohio State and got another huge victory. The Spartans could have played their way into the NCAA Tournament with a win at Maryland. However, the Terrapins won 73-55 and MSU are still on the outside looking in. Meanwhile, that win moved Maryland to 9-9 in Big Ten play and are now on the right side of the bubble. The Terrapins finish up the regular season this week against Northwestern and Penn State, while Coach Tom Izzo’s team faces a tough slate against Indiana and Michigan, twice.
