1/11 Women's Basketball Bracketology Breakdown

Last Eight In: LSU, Villanova, South Dakota, Notre Dame, Wake Forest, Washington State, Marquette, Georgia Tech

First Eight Out: Clemson, Rice, Nebraska, Kent State, Boise State, Boston College, Purdue, Virginia Tech

Washington State pulled off the surprise of the week, knocking off Arizona 71-69. The Cougars have played themselves into the bracket so far with a solid 7-1 record. Their only loss came in a four point defeat at home against Oregon. In a shortened season with very few cupcakes, WSU will likely not have a great record by March, so contents like the one at USC on Friday will be extremely important for Washington State’s tournament hopes.
