Big Football Betting Weekend

This college football season has been quite unique as they play during a pandemic, but that shouldn’t stop anyone from making free college football picks and parlays. Week 12 will bring about several intriguing games, especially within the Big Ten. Surprising teams such as Indiana and Northwestern take on big name teams in Ohio State and Wisconsin. Ohio State is favored by three touchdowns against Indiana, but the gap between the teams likely isn’t that wide. Wisconsin has only played two games thus far but have looked great when they have seen the field. Northwestern meanwhile sits at 4-0 yet are touchdown underdogs at home against the Badgers. Despite the large spreads and the disparity in the history of the teams, both matchups should be competitive and fun to watch.

Meanwhile, the SEC has been having struggles in playing games lately. This week, the matchups aren’t overly exciting, but that’s no reason not to make free picks on them. Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Auburn are all heavy favorites against lesser teams, but there’s certainly value in the spreads. Florida is favored by four-plus touchdowns against Vanderbilt, but that still likely isn’t large enough of a spread to stay away from. Auburn is just ten-point favorites at home against a 2-4 Tennessee team that has played poorly of late. Alabama as 31-point favorites at home against a 3-4 Kentucky squad likely isn’t a big enough spread either. While these SEC games may not be as interesting to watch, they certainly are worth making picks on.

The Pac-12 is much riskier to make picks on due to the smaller sample size we have so far. For example, USC is just three-point favorites against Utah which seems worth taking, but Utah has yet to play a game this season making it a risky bet either way. Typically, Stanford at home against Washington State would be worth taking but the Cardinal are 0-2 this season and are only favored by 2.5 points. It might be wiser to look to the ACC and Big 12 where there is more data available to figure out which teams are worth picking to cover. Clemson and Texas are both massive favorites against lesser teams, though both will be on the road. Oklahoma and Oklahoma State will be an exciting game to watch, but could be a nightmare to try to predict. One of the best games of the week actually takes place in the Sun Belt between 7-0 Coastal Carolina and 6-1 Appalachian State. Coastal Carolina are favored by less than a touchdown, but regardless of how it’s picked it could be the most exciting game to watch.
