Indiana Hoosiers vs. Michigan State Spartans

The Hoosiers are the biggest surprise in the Big 10 this season, currently tied for the top spot in the East division with Ohio State, courtesy of their 3-0 record. Last week it was more of the same as Indiana trounced Michigan, 38-21, and will now look to do the same to another Great Lakes State entry in Michigan State.

Speaking of the Spartans, they are coming off an absolute beating at the hands of the Hawkeyes when they fell, 49-7, last week after shocking Michigan the previous week, 27-24, as 21 ½ point underdogs. Which Spartans’ team will show up this week? Well, it’s hard to tell but the defense will tell the tale and it doesn’t appear that Michigan State will have an answer for the surgically precise Hoosiers’ passing attack led by Michael Penix Jr.

By checking today’s college football lines at BetOnline they reveal that the Hoosiers are 7 ½ point favorites and while we don’t like laying the lumber on the road, sometimes you just have to break the rules.

NCAAF Week 11 Pick: Indiana -7 ½

Western Carolina Catamounts vs. Liberty Flames

Some of the best college football games to bet on are those that nobody cares much about, except for the students and alumni of the respective schools. That’s because all of the action is generated around the big-name programs, attracting the attention of bettors and, therefore, the oddsmakers. However, some of the best games to bet are the lines you can exploit.

Here we have such a game as Western Carolina is making its season debut, hailing from the FCS Southern Conference. They are taking a big step up in class as they travel to Lynchburg, Pennsylvania to meet No. 22 Liberty.

There are two things we know about the Catamounts. First, they will have a new quarterback under center named Will Jones, who saw a bit of action last year in throwing for 443 passing yards last year with one touchdown and one interception as a backup.

Secondly, Western Carolina is returning an enormous number of starters on both sides of the ball with nine on the offense and eight on the defense. Although this team was only 3-9 last year, that kind of experience will allow this team to gel sooner than later.

On the other side of the field, we have the undefeated Liberty Flames boasting a 7-0 record and coming off of their biggest win in years with a 38-35 victory over Virginia Tech as 17-point road dogs. And while that is all fine and dandy, this is setting up as the proverbial “trap game” where a team is still reveling in a monumental upset in their previous game with a weak team on the docket and a decent opponent the following week – in this case, North Carolina State.

Don’t be surprised if Liberty is looking ahead to meeting the Wolfpack and unfocused on this FCS crew from Western Carolina. The road underdog is getting a ton of points and if the oddsmakers are going to be kind enough to give them, then we’ll be smart enough to take them!

NCAAF Week 11 Pick: Western Carolina +33

Arkansas Razorbacks vs Florida Gators

Here we have an SEC battle on Saturday night between the 3-3 Arkansas Razorbacks and the 4-1 Florida Gators. Florida has pretty much bulldozed all of the teams they have faced this season, except one, Texas A&M, the only ranked team of the five they have played. Last week was their most impressive victory of the season when they defeated Georgia by the score of 44-28 as 2 ½ point underdogs.

Arkansas has had a rollercoaster season thus far, with wins over Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and last week against Tennessee. However, their three losses came at the hands of Georgia, Auburn, and Texas A&M. But the Razorbacks have been solid gold at the betting windows, covering in all six games and being tagged as underdogs in each and every one of them.

As good as Arkansas has been to the betting public this season, they will be no match for the Gators on Saturday. Even a freight train stops and the Hogs will be stuck in the mud against one of the most potent passing attacks in the nation. Lay the points with the home chalk here.

NCAAF Week 11 Pick: Florida -17
