Kansas City Chiefs is the current Super Bowl titleholder who showed an emphatic game during the previous season. This year, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the NFL is back for another high season.

The Super Bowl season will start by September and will run through until February or March next year. For now, let’s get hyped up for the newest season of the Super Bowl 2020 and meet the two teams who will open the upcoming tournament.

Texans V.S. Chiefs
The 2020 NFL playoff season will get tuned up by the opening game in line, which is between the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs. The Texans were the American Football Conference (AFC) winners last year. On the other hand, the Chiefs were the Super LIV current titleholders who wrestled against the 49ers last season.

In the current line of many sportsbook, these two teams have performed excellently in last year’s season of the NFL, leading them to open up the show this September. The Texans showed an excellent comeback play during the semis but failed to enter the semis after disappointing against the 49ers.

On the other hand,  the Chiefs climbed all the way to the top, bringing pride for the National Football Conference (NFC side). Given both of the team’s upbringing inside the court, these two will showcase an intense match during the opening day of the 2020-2021 NFL regular seasons.

To know more about these two teams, let’s take a closer look by understanding the current changes and adjustments of both sides. We will also meet the players who recently added to their line up that can possibly contribute to their success this year.

Houston Texans

Houston Texans

Established on October 6, 1999, the Houston Texas has played in the Super Bowl season for  20 years. Since then, they have been representing the AFC side, bringing a lot of recognition for their team and the conference they are playing. They have been the AFC champions for four years, and are looking to make a five-peat this year.

Looking into the current line-up of the Houston Texans, they have few additions and deductions of players. Last January, they got Davin Bellamy (OLB), Anthony Chesley (C.B.), Nate Hall (ILB), Chad Hansen (W.R.), Karan Higdon Jr. (R.B.), Rick Leonard (T), Shalom Luani (S), Alex McGough (Q.B.), Kyle Murphy (T), and Jonathan Owens (T) as reserve players.

On the other hand, they released  Vernon Hargreaves III (C.B.) and extended Brandon Dunn’s (N.T.) contract.

Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs are the current Super Bowl LIV champions who won last February 2020. The Chiefs were established on August 14, 1959, and played in the NFL for 60 years. They have been representing the National Football Conference (NFC) since 1970 and won two Super Bowl Championships.

Last NFL season, the Chiefs were considered as underdogs and not even seen to win the Super Bowl title. They were a bit disappointed with their odds yet remained strong, allowing them to rise from the ashes since the playoff seasons. Patrick Mahomes, who won the MVP Award last season, was a great impact player for the Chiefs, who will still play this year.

For the Chiefs’ current line-up, they have Patrick Mahomes and Chad Henne for the offense position. These two players showed a superb play last year performing in the QuarterBack position. On the defense side, the Chiefs will rely on Taco Charlton (D.E.), Frank Clark (D.E.), Demone Harris (D.E.), and Chris Jones (D.E.) respectively.

They will also have reserve players, namely Harrison Butker, Tyler Newsome, Tommy Townsend, and James Winchester.
