3/12 Women's Basketball Bracketology Breakdown

Last Eight In: St. John’s, Central Michigan, Western Kentucky, Purdue, Creighton, Texas, Tennessee, Drake

First Eight Out: Boston College, Georgia Tech, UCF, Drexel, Rice, West Virginia, Bradley, Alabama

On Monday we warned about the shrinking bubble. Portland and Toledo proved why over the last couple of days. The Pilots upset Gonzaga in the WCC semifinals and followed it up with a win over San Diego to claim the conference’s automatic NCAA Tournament berth. Toledo knocked off Central Michigan and still have to win two more games to reach the tournament. But we do know that it will not be CMU, who is now on the bubble, but in. Those two results have forced Boston College and Georgia Tech out of our projected bracket. Should there be another surprise, St. John’s is next on the chopping block.
