First Eight Out: Arizona State, Texas, Alabama, Clemson, Belmont, UNC Greensboro, Indiana, Xavier
As always there is drama on the bubble, but there is a lot at the top of the bracket as well. It is possible that three ACC teams get a #1 seed. Virginia and Duke, after their ACC tournament title, should be #1 seeds. Kentucky’s semifinal loss to Tennessee will likely put them out of contention, but Tennessee can make a strong case for a top seed if they can beat Auburn in the SEC championship game on Sunday. Michigan and Michigan State are possibilities too. The Spartans are in a better position, but it remains to be seen if the committee would choose either of them over North Carolina or Tennessee.
