The number one ranked team in the nation has won the last 198 games against unranked opponents. That ended on Sunday when North Carolina upset Notre Dame 78-73. Heading into this week the Tar Heels had just one ACC win and, at 10-9 overall, were in deep trouble. Suddenly UNC is 12-9 and have a massive resume building win. They are not safely in the NCAA Tournament by any means, but now they have that big win they desperately needed. Notre Dame has some issues they need to resolve, but this game should not mean much to the Irish in the long run. They are still a projected top seed team and they will have plenty of opportunities to prove that they are still one of the best teams in the country.
