Oregon State tightened their hold on the top spot in college baseball with another 4-0 week, pushing their winning streak to 23 in a row. The 23 straight wins ties a Pac-12 record and has the Beavers sitting at 28-1 (12-0 in Pac-12 play) on the season. Even more impressive about the Beavers start is that Oregon State has already swept Arizona and Stanford, who are both Top 25 teams that were expected to challenge for the Pac-12 title. Oregon State currently has a 4.5 game lead atop the Pac-12 and will travel to Washington, who currently sits in second place, for a three game series next weekend. The next two weekend series will provide a nice test for the Beavers as they will follow up their trip to Washington with a weekend series at UCLA. Key for the Beavers this season has been their pitching staff, which currently leads the country with a 1.81 team ERA. Couple that with a lineup that currently has four players hitting over .300 and Oregon State has not only the best record in college baseball, but also one of the most well balanced teams.
