Since Clint Myers and family came to Auburn’s campus, the softball team has become a force to be reckoned with each year. Since his arrival the team has become an offensive juggernaut. Auburn has broken 21 records, including 16 on offense during Coach Myers reign. No matter how far behind Auburn fell in any of their games last season they always had enough fire power to bring them back to win most of those games. Coach Myers will have a bit of a mountain to climb though this season with the loss of several of the teams power hitters from last year’s team.

Projection:
This year is a mixed bag for Auburn with the loss of several key players from last year’s team including, Jade Rhodes (74 RBI) and Emily Carosone (67 RBI). Pitcher Rachael Walters, who had an impressive 1.66 ERA last season is also gone. Auburn still has Player of the Year infielder Kasey Cooper, who offers both offensive and defensive help for them. Auburn also has a big class of freshmen players who look to make an immediate impact on the team. It’s hard to go against any Clint Myers coached team and this year I look for him to continue his winning ways and get Auburn back deep in the playoffs again this season.
